Student Conduct Review Board 

The Student Conduct Review Board is a group of UCI students, staff, and faculty who are trained to hear cases involving alleged misconduct of students. To be a member of the Student Conduct Review Board, you will be asked to attend comprehensive training sessions before you will be eligible to serve. The training session will cover topics such as conduct hearing procedures and protocol, university due process requirements, include mock hearings, and other information that should help to prepare you for a hearing.

Expectations of all Student Conduct Board Members

These are expected of all students on the Student Conduct Review Board Members

1. You must be a full-time student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
2. You must be a student in good disciplinary standing with the university during application and service on board. 
    *Note: Students who have been suspended from UC Irvine for academic or social misconduct are not eligible to serve on the board. 
3. You must maintain good relations with faculty & University officials as well as peers. 
4. You must abide by the UCI Student Conduct Policies, and all state and federal laws. 
5. You must attend training sessions, in-service trainings, and hearing dates for which you are scheduled to serve. 
6. You must have the ability to maintain objectivity when hearing diverse viewpoints. 
7. You must respond to requests to schedule hearings and serve on hearings when assigned. 
8. You must familiarize yourself with UCI Student Conduct policies and procedures. 
9. You must maintain the strictest confidentiality regarding all proceedings of the board's hearings.

Review boards are typically held over Zoom but may occasionally be held in person. The number of hearings ranges and is based on student case requests but the average is 0-3 hearings per quarter available for all Student Conduct Review Board Members to participate in.

All Students wishing to serve on the Student Conduct Review Board must complete all forms for their application to be considered. By applying for this position you are indicating that you have read and understood the responsibilities and agree to abide by the guidelines as a minimum requirement of the Student Conduct Review Board.
